It may seem like New Year's Eve was just yesterday, but it's already time to start planning that romantic escape for Valentine's Day! The Department of Tourism in Bermuda is enticing lovers from around the world to visit its pink sandy beaches with its "Feel the Love Month" promotion this February. From glass-blowing to golfing, the island is going all-out with offers of free or discounted adventures for couples visiting from now through March 3, 2012.
From Atlanta, Delta Airlines offers nonstop flights to Bermuda currently priced at $465 round trip. Travelocity is currently featuring hotels on the island for as low as $109 per night. Weather in Bermuda in February tends to be in the high 60s, so while you might not be snorkeling, you can certainly feel the legendary pink sand between your toes as you stroll down the beach.
Among the tourism board's complimentary offers are an afternoon cruise around the harbor, a romantic evening concert at the National Gallery, a guided tour of the museum followed by a champagne reception and saxophone concert in the rose garden, and a glass-blowing demonstration by local artists (including a free glass Love Bird). There are also discounts on a couples' golf tournament and free instruction in salsa dancing.
For more information on this package, including discounts on hotels and airfare, contact the department of tourism at 1-800-BERMUDA, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
