Want to eat someplace that makes you feel like a king, a queen, or perhaps an Earl? Then the following restaurant may be for you. One of the tastiest restaurants in all of Walt Disney World would be the Earl of Sandwich. Located at the Downtown Disney Marketplace (along with multiple locations throughout the state of Florida and more in both the United States and Europe) this brainchild of direct descendants of the 4th Earl of Sandwich is a very popular establishment that never disappoints.
There’s a wide range of food to try and eat, and each sandwich is guaranteed to thrill your taste buds. One of the best choices by far would have to be the All American, which includes cranberries, turkey, tomato, and more. In addition to purchasing a sandwich as a main dish you can choose from a variety of side dishes, drinks, and desserts to make your meal complete. Great choices to eat with it or any other sandwich would be their signature pasta salad, their official Earl of Sandwich Potato Chips (including their amazing sea salt & vinegar flavor), and homemade bread pudding.
Earl of Sandwich is also one of the most inexpensive places to eat in all of Disney World. Most of the sandwiches cost no more than $5.99. That’s roughly the same price one would pay for a sandwich at Subway, and is cheap by theme park and resort standards. Other menu items such as soups, salads, and desserts, are less expensive, usually costing within the range of $1.99 to $3.99. This is an excellent option if you want to save on your upcoming Orlando trip.
The only true downside would be the occasional long line, but this more often occurs during peak season and in the middle of lunch. Also, the wait is more than worth it. More often than not there is plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors. There’s a nice atmosphere inside, which features paintings and reliefs of mid-2nd millennium European ships and exploration. And once you finish up your meal there are plenty of things to see and do at Downtown Disney, including Disney’s Pin Traders just a few steps away, where you can purchase and trade the classic and beloved souvenirs. So if your inner-Earl is hungry while travelling in Orlando and you want a slightly cheaper option, then look no further than the Earl of Sandwich.
