Feeding the Wolf of Wall Street

I just watched an hour interview with Jordan Belfast. It was like watching a short Tony Robbins do his thing. Although Jordan had time in jail to think about his behavior and Tony has stayed on the straight and narrow, what they said was just about the same.

It was NLP in a motivational package.

Here are the 4 things that Belfast said you need to do to make your personal fortune. However, before I state them I was at least impressed with one comment: “Making money is easy; finding fulfillment is not.

Now here is how to be a success according to the motivational gurus:

  • 1. Have a vision: this is more important than goals. A vision is what your future will look like when you have worked your goals and not strayed from your program.
  • 2. Manage your state: that means YOU are in charge of your emotions and not the other way around.
  • 3. Dig into your beliefs: limiting beliefs, the “can’t do” mentality keeps us from moving forward. Banish them from your thinking.
  • 4. Model success: find people you respect and look into what they do and how they do it and find a way to copy what you see; well not exactly copy, just follow their lead.

Just remember that success is more than the “stuff” of the world and the Wolf of Wall Street had to learn this the hard way.

Now go see the movie and decide how you want to learn to live a life of fulfillment.
