What better way can we find inspiration for progress in the new year than by remembering one of the best minds of the recent past? Christopher Hitchens, who died last month, was a giant among literary figures and secular humanists and his life and thoughts are being remembered and celebrated by the Feed Your Brain lecture series sponsored by the Center For Inquiry Los Angeles. CFI, an organization dedicated to promoting critical inquiry and human enrichment, has asked attorney and humanist activist Eddie Tabash to give a talk on Hitchens on Sunday, January 15, in two different locations around the Southland. Tabash is a skilled speaker and formidable debater who's taken on many opponents, including some of the best-known Christian apologists such as Richard Swinburne, William Lane Craig, Matt Slick and Greg Bahnson.

It is so rare that one from among our ranks achieves virtual household name recognition. Christopher Hitchens was that rare spokesperson for the cause of naturalism over supernaturalism who achieved such unusual notoriety. Center for Inquiry Honorary Chair Eddie Tabash will keynote a morning of remembrance of our beloved "Hitch." The ultimate purpose of this celebration/memorial will be to redouble our efforts to perpetuate his legacy and to make the world safe for those with the courage to reject religious dogma.
Also paying tribute to Hitchens will be an actor or commentator reading selections from Hitchens’ impressive collection of writings.
Copies of a selection of Hitchens books will be available for sale.
