The first day of spring, Thursday, March 20, when a young man's and woman's fancy turns to - cupcakes?

Executive Chef Michael Reich and Pastry Chef Kimberly Junior at the JW Marriott Chicago look to defrost Chicago with free spring-inspired Lavender White Chocolate Cupcakes. The landmark, luxury hotel will offer the colorful confections for Facebook fans, Twitter followers, and weekend guests to celebrate the first day of spring on Thursday, March 20 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Created by Chef Junior, the colorful confections celebrate one of her favorite flavors (and colors) of spring – lavender. “The cupcakes celebrate the bright herbal flavor of lavender, but give a little nudge of humor to pay homage to our 75+ inches of snow this season with extra frosting,” she says.

Spring cupcakes will be available for all guests for FREE upon check-in as well as any Loop neighbors who
show they are a fan on Facebook or follower on Twitter of the JW Marriott Chicago. Limit of one cupcake per guest and you must show proof that you are a fan of the JW Marriott Chicago via smart phone or print-out upon redemption at the front desk.
