Fee increases proposed for Fairfax County park facilities (Video)

The public can comment in person on proposed fee hikes in Fairfax County parks. The Fairfax County Park Authority has scheduled its annual public comment meeting on fee adjustments for Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. EST in Room 106, Herrity Building, 12055 Government Center Pkwy., Fairfax, VA.

You can view the proposed changes in fees and a discussion of the fee process at http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/archives/2013-fee-proposal.pdf. Or you can see a paper copy at the park authority office and all staffed park facilities (rec centers, golf courses, nature centers, historic sites).

Among the fees schedule for increases:

  • Prime season weekend green fees at Laurel Hill Golf Club

  • Pedal boat rentals at Lake Fairfax and Lake Accotink

  • Water Mine admission weekends and holidays at Lake Fairfax.
