Fedor Emelianenko again proved his dominance over the heavyweight division last Saturday with a yet another emphatic victory, this time over Brett Rogers.
Watching the fight at the time, it seemed to me that Rogers had Fedor in trouble at times, although watching it again now it looks a lot less close than I originally thought. It was a lot closer than most of Fedors recent fights, but Rogers was still a long way away from winning either round.
Next for Rogers will probably be a bout against another huge power puncher in Antonio Silva, which to my mind is a toss up as to which will be the favourite. Rogers has the size and power, while Silva has the striking finesse and probably better jiu jitsu.
Fedor will probably fight either Alistair Overeem or Fabricio Werdum next, which will largely depend on whether Overeem decides he wants to fight for StrikeForce again or not. Given his manager's comments about M-1 recently, as well as Alistair's success in K-1 its looking less and less likely that this will happen, but Werdum vs. Fedor will be entertaining none the less.
