On Thursday, legendary MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko was cut by Strikeforce after losing his last 3 fights. Fedor just lost to Dan Henderson on Saturday, July 30th in an exciting round of action. According to a Thursday report by MMAFighting.com, UFC President Dana White made the following comments about Fedor and reminded everyone what he has thought about Emelianenko all along:
"He's being cut, yeah. Why? Do you think we should keep him? You guys thought he was the pound-for-pound best in the world, but I thought he was overrated for years"
Dana White has frowned on Fedor ever since the former MMA legend spurned UFC for Strikeforce and had some unflattering comments about the UFC. Since then, Dana White has been very critical of Fedor and today he got the last laugh.
Fedor is coming off 3 straight losses over the last year to Fabricio Werdum, Bigfoot Silva, and now Dan Henderson. IF this is the end of Fedor, he finishes with a record of 31-4 and is the former PRIDE heavyweight champion. Despite his success and failures in MMA, Fedor has remained humbled and professional due to his devout Christian faith.
