Federer adds another Grand Slam proving that he undoubtedly  has earned the right to the greatest tennis player to ever step foot on court.

Murray wanted this Grand Slam victory win very bad. During the trophy presentation a teary eyed Murray summed it in his own words, "I don't feel great. I wanted to win the tournament. I obviously worked very hard to get to this stage. I wanted to win the tournament."

The win would have relieved his Country of its disappointment of not winning a Slam in over 50 years. The pressure rising to unbearable limits, just ask Tim Henman.

Murray brought his heart and game to the finals and it wasn't enough. The match clearly showed who the number 1 is and who wants to be number 1. Murray is young and still has plenty of great years ahead of him.

He will win one, no question. In order to win the Slam a player needs to conquer the almighty "no fear" attitude and rise to the occasion. Federer does this on a consistent basis. He stated after the match, "I feel like I am obviously being pushed a great deal by the new generation coming up, They have made me a better player because I think this is one of my finest performances in a long time, maybe forever."

Federer is the creator of athletic artistic masterpieces, painting his opponents with brushes of brilliance, strokes of a genius when he needed to, he delivers. He is beautiful to watch and study. Fans around the world are witnessing a guaranteed legend at his finest, with many saying he has not peeked yet. That's a scary thought for those other players who are fighting for the same goal, to over take Federer by beating him in the Slams.

This match brings closure to what will go down as a superb Australian Open, not only a fan favorite but player favorite for the last 3 years. The tournament saw many surprises during the 2 weeks of battle.

Through injury's, walk overs, blood sweat and tears, the last man standing is without question a true champion, Roger Federer.
