Federal and Corporate relationships designed to strip you of your rights.

It has become glaringly apparent that the relationship between government and private sector corporations has gotten to the point where the average person and his or her civil rights are in dire jeopardy of being lost forever. In recent research by the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund (PCJF) it has been revealed that a plan was put in place to disrupt and possibly neutralize leaders in the Occupy Wall Street movement. Heavily redacted documents obtained through FIOA requests have shown the possibility of assassination plans by complicit corporations and the federal government, notably the FBI. According to an article in The Daily Kos: “ Occupy was monitored, infiltrated and targeted by the FBI as a domestic terrorist organization according to the documents, with close coordination between the big banks, local police and the FBI.

The relationship between corporations and federal law enforcement has even spawned a division of federal authority named the Domestic Security Alliance Council with members including American Express, Bank of America, Barclays, Boeing , Bristol-Myers Squibb, Coca-Cola, Walmart and General Electric just to name a few. It is suspected that these corporations not only provide information collected from the average Americans purchasing products, but may even provide personnel for infiltration and information retrieval from any group deemed a “domestic terrorist threat” such as Occupy Wall Street was labeled.

The fact that there is literally no oversight as to how and why the average American can be labeled a terrorist threat for simply exorcising his or her civil right to protest policies set by the federal government should shake every person to their core.

In an article produced on Washington’s Blog it was distinctly put like this: “Most Americans – whether they are conservative or liberal – are disgusted that virtually all of the politicians are bought and paid for. No wonder people of all stripes have lost all trust in our government.”

The problem we have today is not that as Americans we are spoiled, it’s that as a culture, we are lazy. We expect our government to solve problems instead of standing as one people and declaring that government IS the problem. We have allowed too much power to be consolidated in the Presidency and our representatives in Washington have allowed themselves to be manipulated and bribed by overwhelming corporate funding. There is a sense that all is already lost to corporate influence. This may seem the case but there is a growing movement in this country that is directly trying to influence the mass population that these entities are corroding the very fabric of what makes our country such a desirable place to live.

What will you do to preserve your right peacefully assemble and redress your grievances? What will you do to ensure that those you elect to offices of power have your interest at heart, not the interests of corporations that are solely focused on a profitable quarter?
