There's something extra special about the Cape in the winter. It is quiet, it is peaceful, there are no crowds, less traffic, and it's a little bit sleepy. Isn't that what vacation is all about? From February 17th through the 21st, the Sea Crest Beach Hotel's rates start at $109 including breakfast for children 12 and under. The heated indoor pool has just been renovated (opened early this week) and has a wonderful view of Buzzard's Bay. There is a tween room to keep those who are too cool to hang out with the 'rents at the pool busy. The tween lounge has fun furniture to hang out on, as well as a television and some arcade games.
Throughout the day, family-friendly activities will be scheduled including arts and crafts, children's Olympics and of course the essential dance party! Nearby, there is the Nobska Lighthouse, the Cornelia Carey Sanctuary which is open year-round, you can cruise on over to explore Martha's Vineyard, or just bring some games, enjoy time at the pool, a good book, the company of one another and the perfect excuse to take it easy.
You don't have to leave the resort if you'd like and dine at Red's Restaurant and Lounge, or you can enjoy a fancy meal over at the Glass Onion. For a low key dinner, head over to Parkside Market, which is open for dinner Thursday through Saturday or if you're craving Italian then Landucci's is a good choice. Be sure to find the latest spot from much loved PB Boulangerie in Wellfleet, Falmouth's Maison Villatte. For a quick bite or takeout stop in at the Cape Cod Bagel Co. or The Burrito Place. Another must try spot is Quahog Republic.
