The February PPM's covering January 31st to February 27th are out and the big news is the debut of our all new country station, Nash FM (WNSH). Out of the box, they debuted with a 1.6, good enough for 20th place in the market. Not a bad showing for a station that was only on the air 10 days before the rating period began. In first place, as usual, was WLTW with a 7.6, up .4 from January. In second place with their third down book in a row was WCBS FM with a 6.1 down just a bit from last month. Third place went to WBLS with a 5.5, also down a little from last month. Fourth place went to Z-100 (WHTZ), also down a little to a 5.1. In fifth place was WINS with a 4.7, inching up a little from the January book. Sixth place belonged to WSKQ with a 4.4. In seventh place was Q-104.3 (WAXQ) with a 4.2 tied with WXNY. WKTU took ninth with a 3.9, also their third down book in a row. WCBS took 10th with a 3.8, up a tad from last month. In 11th place was Power 105.9 (WWPR) with a 3.5. Fresh 102.7 (WWFS) took 12th place with a 3.2. WABC saw their numbers jump a little as they took 13th place with a 2.9, tied with WPLJ. The FAN (WFAN) saw their numbers drop considerably as they moved from a 3.7 to a 2.5 and tied them for 15th place with WNYC FM and Hot 97 (WQHT). WPAT FM had their fourth up book in a row as they moved up to a 2.4 in 18th place. 19th went to 92.3 Now (WNOW FM) with a 2.3. And the 20th spot went to WNSH with a 1.6. WEPN FM also saw their numbers drop 1.6 to 1.3 for a 21st place finish.
Cume-wise, not much change. WLTW was number one with 5,004,100. WKTU was number two with 4,616,200. Z-100 came in third with 4,219,100. CBS FM was fourth with 3,421,500. And Fresh was number five with 3,092,500.
Interesting to note that WOR was down, yet again, moving to a 1.2 and a tie for 22nd place with WADO. WABC's cume was again below 1-million with a 923,600. That's down from last month. WOR cumed 525,400, also down from last month and down considerably from the 937,500 that they pulled last November.
The absolute lowest rated city station was WFUV with a 0.5. And the lowest cuming city station was WLIB with 243,500.
Next month's book should be very interesting to see if Nash FM gains on its nice debut. Next ratings due out April 15th.
