Fox News reported on Feb. 8, that it is National Girl Scout Cookie Day that marks the beginning of Girl Scout cookie season.
The Girl Scout cookie season is short and sweet. The season includes just three months. However, you can always stock up on your favorite cookies and support the Girl Scouts at the same time.
Selling Girl Scout cookies is one of the major fundraisers for local Scout units of the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA).
The Girl Scouts, founded in 1912, will continue to follow the tradition of girls selling cookies door to door and setting up booths. Because it is a non-profit organization, the GSUSA does not sell its cookies online.
There is free app that helps customers find places to buy Girl Scout cookies.
This year, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) are re-launching a Cookie Finder app to help connect Girl Scouts with customers.
Fox News gave instructions how you can use the app to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The app for iOS and Android devices allows users to find out when and where a local council is having a sale. The app then creates calendars marking down upcoming cookie sales for your use when the sales take place. You can enter your contact information to be notified when a sale is nearby. You can also check on Facebook and Twitter to find out where others are buying their cookies.
You can still purchase Girl Scout cookies in the same traditional favors you have always enjoyed.
