February 8: Blackwater Music presents Defleshment, Obsolete, and mor

On February 8, Red Sea Records and Blackwater Music present a night of metal, indie, acoustic, and grunge. Sharing the stage will be Defleshment, Obsolete, Genocide, [Au], Marcus Armijo, and Immodium. This show gets started at 7 p.m. Entry is only $8.

Hailing from the Laguna Pueblo, Defleshment play brutal death metal. The band cites as influences Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, and Left to Rot.

Formed in September 2010, Arizona’s Obsolete play metal. The band has released a four-song debut EP [http://obsolete.bigcartel.com/].

New Mexico’s Genocide play thrash metal. Band influences include Slayer, Megadeth, Testament, and Iron Maiden.

Belen’s [Au] play a mix of post-punk, indie, and space rock.

Albuquerque’s Immondium play a combination of alternative grunge, metal, punk, and psychedelic rock.

Blackwater Music is located at 109 4th Street NW (on the corner of 4th and Central). The venue is all-ages and provides practice space and a performance center. Blackwater Music has a delicious virgin-drink bar, foosball and pool tables, arcade games, and a stellar sound and lighting system.
