Fall in love all over again with Lady and the Tramp (1955), one of the most romantic films in the Walt Disney Animated Classic series. For the very first time, the 15th film comes to high definition Blu-ray with dazzling picture and glorious sound in the Diamond Edition. The story begins on Christmas morning in 1909 when Jim Dear presents his wife Darling with a cocker spaniel puppy they name Lady. She lives a pampered upper middle-class life with her neighborhood friends Jock the Scottish Terrier and Trusty the Bloodhound. Meanwhile, on the other side of town a devil-may-care, street-smart mutt named Tramp begs for scraps from the local Italian restaurant and helps his friends Peg the Lhasa Apso and Bull the Bulldog avoid the dog catcher.
Lady and Tramp first meet when he wanders to her side of town. She is saddened by how coldly she is treated after Darling is pregnant with child. Before being shooed away by Jock and Trusty, he warns her that "when the baby moves in, the dog moves out.” Things take a turn for the worse for Lady after the baby is born.
One day, dog-hating Aunt Sarah and her trouble-making Siamese cats Si and Am come to look after the baby while Jim and Darling go on a trip. Lady flees when Aunt Sarah takes her to the pet shop to get a muzzle. She ends up getting chased by some street dogs. Fortunately, Tramp appears and saves her in the nick of time. Lady falls for Tramp over a candlelit Italian dinner, but her heart breaks when she gets caught by the dog catcher and finds out about Tramp’s many girlfriends.
After Aunt Sarah collects Lady from the pound, she is chained to the backyard doghouse. Inconsolable, she becomes even angrier when Tramp shows up to apologize. However, when the baby’s life is threatened and Tramp helps Lady save the day, he redeems himself and wins both Lady and her family’s love.
