February 5: The Gasworks hosts ‘The Awakening’ tour

On February 5, Albuquerque’s The Gasworks, in conjunction with Joe Angel Productions, hosts My Heart to Fear, Blood of the Martyrs, Wrath of Vesuvius, Painting Promises, Aura, and Follow Silence. Doors for this all-ages event open at 6:30 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 7 p.m. Entry is only $10.

Hailing from Pennsylvania, My Heart to Fear play metalcore. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Algorithm.

Formed in 2007, Virginia’s Blood of the Martyrs play Christian-driven metal. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Completionist.

California’s The Wrath of Vesuvius play metal. The band recently signed to Rite of Passage Records and plans to release a new album, Revelation, in 2013. Check out the band’s four-track EP Portals Through Ophiuchus at bandcamp.

Albuquerque’s Painting Promises play post-hardcore melodic music.

Albuquerque’s Aura play Christian-driven post-hardcore.

Albuquerque’s Follow Silence play post-hardcore/metalcore.
