This most timeless and beloved fantastic classic adventure is the fourteenth animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. Originally released in 1953, it is based on the play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up by J. M. Barrie. It is the last film in which all nine members of Disney's Nine Old Men (Les Clark, Marc Davis, Ollie Johnston, Milt Kahl, Ward Kimball, Eric Larson, John Lounsbery, Wolfgang Reitherman and Frank Thomas) worked together as directing animators. Directed by Clyde Geronimi, Hamilton Luske and Wilfred Jackson, the spellbinding voice cast includes Bobby Driscoll, Kathryn Beaumont, Hans Conried, Paul Collins, Tommy Luske, Heather Angel and Bill Thompson.
When Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up, arrives at the Darlings’ house, Wendy and her younger brothers are whisked away by the hero of their bedtime stories. Learning to fly with the help of Tinker Bell and her pixie dust, they head to Never Land to meet the Lost Boys, battle the treacherous Captain Hook and rescue a Native American Indian princess. However when Tinker Bell becomes jealous of Wendy, she gets tricked by Hook into revealing something that puts everyone’s lives in danger. With little time left, they must quickly outwit Hook and his crew before they all walk the plank.
