From Rob Cohen, the director of xXx and The Fast and the Furious, comes the crime thriller film Alex Cross. Based on James Patterson’s novel Cross and the character of the same name popularized by Morgan Freeman in Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider, it stars Tyler Perry as Alex Cross, Edward Burns as his partner Tommy Kane and Matthew Fox as the serial killer and nemesis Picasso. Additional cast includes Rachel Nichols, Cicely Tyson and Jean Reno.
Dr. Alex Cross, a homicide detective and psychologist with the Detroit Police Department, meets his match when he investigates the murder of a businesswoman. Analyzing the evidence from the crime scene, he and his partner Tommy Kane deduce the dangerous serial killer, Picasso, is a professional assassin with a military background and specializes in torture and pain. Learning who the next victim will be, they manage to thwart the killer’s attack, but face his wrath when he goes after their loved ones. Now the deadly high-stakes game of cat and mouse has become personal -- pushing Cross and Kane’s physical, psychological and moral limits.
The DVD and Blu-ray special features include deleted scenes, audio commentary with Rob Cohen and “The Psychologist and the Butcher: Adapting and Filming Alex Cross” featurette.
