February 4: Blackwater Music welcomes Moonspell and guests

On February 4, Blackwater Music welcomes Moonspell, Leaves’ Eyes, Atrocity, and Unleash the Baboon. Show is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tickets are $18 pre-show and $20 day of show.

Hailing from Portugal, Moonspell play atmospheric gothic metal with hints of black metal. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Alpha Noir.

Leaves’ Eyes play symphonic metal. Leaves’ Eyes is fronted by the incomparable Liv Kristine, who was a member of the gothic-metal outfit Theater of Tragedy. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Symphonies of the Night.

Atrocity play dark, brutal, and experimental metal. The band is fronted by vocalist Alexander Krull. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Okkult.

Albuquerque’s Unleash the Baboon play a combination of brutal death metal and grindcore. They are currently hard at work on their debut full-length studio CD.

Blackwater Music is located at 109 4th Street NW (on the corner of 4th and Central). The venue is all-ages and provides practice space and a performance center. Blackwater Music has a delicious virgin-drink bar, foosball and pool tables, arcade games, and a stellar sound and lighting system.
