Justice League: Doom is the thirteenth direct-to-video animated film in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies line released by Warner Premiere and Warner Bros. Animation. It is directed by Batman: Year One’s Lauren Montgomery and is loosely based off of the Mark Waid’s JLA story arc, "JLA: Tower of Babel." It was adapted and written by Dwayne McDuffie right before his death in February 2011. Primetime television stars Nathan Fillion and Tim Daly join a group of eight actors who reprise their Justice League cartoon roles.
The Justice League, Earth’s finest super heroes, are about to face their gravest challenge yet. When Batman’s top secret contingency plans for stopping rogue League members get stolen by the villainous Vandal Savage, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Martian Manhunter and the Flash’s weaknesses are exposed to the Savage’s League of Doom. Banding together, the League must now thwart a master plan of world destruction and deal with the betrayal of one of their own.
The Single-Disc DVD includes a sneak peek at the next DC Universe animated original movie Superman vs. The Elite. The Two-Disc Special Edition DVD has a bit more bonus content including a featurette on the late Dwayne McDuffie as told by his family and friends and two Justlice League Unlimited episodes.
