February 27: Sister presents Pentagram and guests

On February 27, Albuquerque’s Sister presents Pentagram, Radio Moscow, Kings Destroy, and Leeches of Lore. This 21+ event kicks off at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 presale and $30 at the door.

Around since 1971, Pentagram play heavy metal and are considered early pioneers (with Black Sabbath) of doom metal. The band has released seven full-length studio CDs, the latest of which is 2011’s Last Rites.

California’s Radio Moscow play psychedelic blues. The band’s latest EP is titled Rancho Tehama. Check out their CDs at Amazon.

New York’s Kings Destroy play stoner rock. The band’s debut full-length studio CD is titled And the Rest will Surely Perish.

Albuquerque’s Leeches of Lore play a surreal type of speed metal, one filled with psychedelic groove and technical prowess. The band’s self-titled release is an experimental tour de force, one that will leave you freaked out but fully satisfied. The band’s latest CD is titled Attack the Future.
