Monday, February 25th, 2013, is Ontario's very first National Cupcake Day in support of the province's SPCAs and humane societies. A sweet, delectable way to raise funds for the many homeless and sheltered animals in need of love and support, National Cupcake Day is the first of its kind in Canada, though the event has been held to great success in places like Australia and New Zealand.
National Cupcake Day encourages participants to hold cupcake parties and bake these treats for their friends and families, with party guests making donations to the cause.
