February 22: BlinDDryve and guests perform at the Launchpad

On February 2, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad presents BlinDDryve, Downfall 2012, Cicada, and Carrion Kind. And get ready for a 21+ after-party with Ballistic Batz. Doors for this all-ages show are scheduled to open at 8 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 8:30 p.m. Entry is $15 but is subject to change at the door.

Albuquerque’s BlinDDryve are an alternative metal band, which was formed soon after the members won the Ultimate Band Contest. The band has released the full-length studio CD World Insane. The band has a new EP out, titled Our Domain.

Hailing from Santa Fe, Carrion Kind play “metal with no boundaries, a mix of metal genres ranging from prog to straight-up death metal.” The band features members of Grinkai, The Seventh Circle, and CassoVita.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
