February 19: Launchpad welcomes Skeletonwitch and guests

On February 19, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad welcomes Skeletonwitch, Unleash the Baboon, Genocide, and Noctiphetamine. Doors for this 13+ show are scheduled to open at 7 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. Entry is $10 but is subject to change at the door.

Formed in 2003, Ohio’s Skeletonwitch play thrash metal. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Serpents Unleashed.

Albuquerque’s Unleash the Baboon play a combination of brutal death metal and grindcore. They are currently hard at work on their debut full-length studio CD.

New Mexico’s Genocide play thrash metal. Band influences include Slayer, Megadeth, Testament, and Iron Maiden.

Edgewood’s Noctiphetamine play blackened death metal. Check out their vibes at ReverbNation.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
