February 15: Gallup’s El Morro Theater hosts Soulfly and guests

On February 15, Gallup’s El Morro Theater presents Soulfly, The Ground Beneath, and A Malicious Plague. Doors for this all-ages event open at 6 pm. Tickets before the event are on sale for only $25. Get them from any member of The Ground Beneath, with free delivery in the Albuquerque or Rio Rancho area. The band members can take cash or card.

Formed in 1977, Brazil’s (but based in Phoenix, Arizona) Soulfly play groove metal with facets of nu-metal and thrash metal. The band is led by Max Cavalera, who once fronted the mighty Sepultura. Soulfly’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Enslaved.

Albuquerque’s The Ground Beneath play Southern-driven metal with plenty of sass. The band has a new self-titled CD out. The Ground Beneath average around 80 shows each year, traveling across the 13 states that surround New Mexico. Get their CDs at Amazon.

Formed in 2011, Gallup’s A Malicious Plague play melodic and technical death metal.
