Valentine’s Day also known as Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine is observed yearly on February 14th .St. Valentine's Day began as a public worship celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus.

A popular hagiographical account gives us insight into the life of Saint Valentine of Rome who was imprisoned for marrying soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians who were persecuted under the Roman Empire. During his imprisonment he healed the daughter of his jailer, Asterius and before his execution he wrote her a letter signed “Your Valentine” as a final farewell.

Well, honey, there you have it. Valentine’s Day is a day of love and according to the hagiographical account; Saint Valentine broke loves hindrances so people could be free to love, despite of. After all love is a powerful force that triumph over all.

So, what is Valentine’s Day anyway?

Valentine’s Day is a day of love and breaking barriers. What difficulties do you need to break in your life? Love is a powerful healer.

Now that you know what Valentine’s Day is all about, get up and start breaking barriers by not allowing anyone to make you feel less than because you don’t have a Valentine. Love YOURSELF! No one has the power to define your heart.
