If you were horrified by the original cult horror film The Human Centipede (First Sequence), be prepared to never sleep again in Tom Six’s reviling sequel The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence). In this direct-to-video film that was originally banned in the United Kingdom, Laurence R. Harvey stars as the film’s main antagonist and Ashlynn Yennie, from the first film, returns as herself.
The revolting tale begins with the mentally ill loner Martin Lomax. He is a middle-aged, short-statured, overweight, asthmatic British man who lives with his emotionally abusive mother. He works at a parking garage and is obsessed with The Human Centipede (First Sequence). Inspired by Dr. Heiter, he has a scrapbook of the film, a pet centipede and dreams of creating his own 12-person centipede. When his mother destroys his scrapbook, he crushes her skull and decides he will turn his sick fantasy into reality.
Martin lures Ashlynn Yennie to London to serve as the head of his human centipede. He then attacks and kidnaps eleven other people to an abandoned warehouse. Once everyone is assembled, he severs the leg tendons of each person to prevent escape and begins his crude medical experiment. He knocks out their teeth, slice open the buttocks of eleven of his victims and begins stapling face-to-anus.
As Martin’s creation comes to life, he becomes more and more sexually aroused. However, when his gastrointestinal invention start dying, he becomes genuinely heartbroken. Soon his sadness turns into an unfathomable rage where death seems like a blessing in disguse.
The DVD and Blu-ray releases are packed with extras including an interview with filmmaker Tom Six, commentary with Tom Six and Laurence R. Harvey, a set tour of the infamous warehouse, foley sound effects, the making of the poster and deleted scenes.
