February 12: Launchpad Presents Battle of the Bands

On February 12, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad, in collaboration with Gorilla Music, presents the Battle of the Bands. Check out this roster of contestants: Blind Hatred, The Mad Hatter Band, EMP, Don Grim, Co-O, Evangeline Stranded, Upon Darkness, Irrelevant Commodity, and Struck by Gold. Doors for this all-ages show open at 4:00 pm. Entry ranges from $8 (presale) to $10 (at the door).

Founded in 2008, Cuba, New Mexico’s Blind Hatred play modern metal. The band was inspired by its members attending concerts when they were younger—they liked what they heard and wanted to try it out as their own band.

Albuquerque’s The Mad Hatter Band play alternative metal with facets of punk. Check out their song on ReverbNation. Hailing from Las Cruces, Don Grim play hip hop and hardcore rap.
