From Academy Award-winning filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, known for Forrest Gump, Cast Away and Back to the Future, comes the riveting, action-packed drama film Flight, which he directed and co-produced. Written by John Gatins, it stars the award-winning actor Denzel Washington who has earned Oscar, Golden Globe, SAG and Critics’ Choice award nominations for his phenomenal performance as airline pilot William “Whip” Whitaker. Starring alongside him is an equally exceptional supporting cast that includes John Goodman, Don Cheadle, Kelly Reilly, Bruce Greenwood, Melissa Leo and Brian Geraghty.
When a plummeting plane threatens to kill all 102 passengers, airline pilot Whip Whitaker performs a death-defying maneuver and miraculously lands the plane, saving most of its passengers. Initially hailed a hero, he comes under investigation when a toxicology screen reveals drugs and alcohol in his system. As the question arises of who or what is to be blamed for the incident, Whip’s alcoholism progresses and his personal world takes a dive, sending him on a collision course with redemption.
