Thanksgiving is a joyous time of year for families to gather together and celebrate the festivities. However the same cannot be said for turkeys, because they are the main course for dinner. Reggie the Turkey has always been afraid of Thanksgiving for this very reason and his attempts to warn the other turkeys have constantly fallen on deaf ears, making him an outcast. When they realize Reggie was right, they throw him to the wolves to save themselves. In a surprising twist of fate, Reggie ends up being named the “pardoned turkey” by the President of the United States and is sent off to Camp David to begin a new life of luxury -- enjoying endless pizza and telenovelas.

All is well until about three days before Thanksgiving when Reggie’s new life is suddenly snatched from him. He gets bagnapped by Jake, the president and only member of the Turkeys Liberation Front, who wants Reggie to help him take turkeys off the Thanksgiving menu for good. Although reluctant to leave the good life, Reggie and Jake go back in time using an egg-shaped time machine to the very first Thanksgiving in 1621. Putting their ruffled feathers aside, the two birds from totally different worlds team up and help out their fellow feathered friends’ cause to change the first Thanksgiving holiday feast and the future world of all turkey kind.

The DVD and Blu-ray include the “Shake A Tail Feather” featurette. Exclusive to Blu-ray are four more featurettes: “Birds Flipping History,” “Animating Free Birds: The Main Course,” “Winging It: Animators in Action” and “Talking Turkey with Composer Dominic Lewis.”
