In this whimsical, heartwarming story, a lonely and unhappy young man named Tim Lake learns from his father James a family secret that will change his life forever: the men in his family have the ability to travel through time. Thus begins Tim’s extraordinary journey to change the past and present of his life to make his world a better place -- finding the woman of his dreams and discovering his true purpose. However soon he realizes that even time travel cannot fix everything and take away the sorrows and ups and downs that affect all families everywhere. Also with each change he makes in time, it comes with its own set of challenging consequences. In the end, Tim discovers that he does not need his unique gift of time travel to make his ordinary life extraordinary; and the true key to happiness is to make the most of each day like it was his last.

DVD and Blu-ray special features include deleted scenes, a blooper reel, feature commentary, Ellie Goulding’s "How Long Will I Love You?" music video and “The ‘Luckiest’ Music” featurette about why Richard Curtis picked Ben Folds' "The Luckiest" for About Time. Exclusive to Blu-ray are three additional featurettes. In “About Tim and Time Travel,” questions about where did the time travel idea come from, what Tim does with this new found power and what effect it has on him are answered; plus, a brief guide to the mechanics of time travel. In “The Look – Style and Locations,” it examines the many iconic London locations and the delights that Cornwall in the summertime has to offer, allowing fans to gain insight into the visual quality of About Time and the look Richard Curtis decided to give this film. And in “The World of Richard Curtis,” explore the sensibilities and aesthetic of his films – from the atmosphere on set, to the feel of the films and in particular how About Time fits into his body of work.
