For Friday, February 22nd 2013 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:
Nikita (The CW, 8 p.m.) – “Black Badge” – A CIA agent named Naomi (guest star Amanda Schull) comes across a file detailing Madeline Pierce’s involvement with Division and turns it over to the Director of the CIA, Morgan Kendrick (guest star Brian Howe). When Kendrick is killed shortly thereafter, Amanda (Melinda Clarke) frames Sean (Dillon Casey) for the assassination and the CIA takes him into custody. Nikita (Maggie Q) promises Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) they will free Sean and comes up with a plan that could either save him or cost him his life.
Spartacus: War of the Damned (STARZ, 9 p.m.) – “Decimation” – The possible infiltration of a Roman spy causes tension to mount between Spartacus (Liam McIntyre) and the men under his command. Crassus (Simon Merrells) resurrects a long abandoned form of Roman punishment to teach his soldiers a brutal lesson.
Blue Bloods (CBS, 10 p.m.) – “Quid Pro Quo” – Erin (Bridget Moynihan) and Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) investigate a cold case of a girl who was attacked by her rich and powerful boyfriend, who was never convicted. Meanwhile, Jamie’s friend brings a lawsuit against Danny’s friend after an injury at a pick-up basketball game.
Portlandia (IFC, 10 p.m.) – “No-Fo-O-Fo Bridge” – The Rats relocate after their neighborhood gentrifies, while first-time parents peruse child-rearing manuals; Gahvin (Fred Armisen) takes his girlfriend to a movie, and Alexandra (Chloe Sevigny) and Carrie (Carrie Brownstein) dine at a communal table.
Merlin (Syfy, 10 p.m.) – “The Hollow Queen” – Merlin (Colin Morgan) ventures far away from Camelot after agreeing to accompany a druid boy on a dangerous mission.
