Disney•Pixar’s most beloved monsters return for more screams in a breathtaking new way in Monster’s, Inc. Ultimate Collector’s Edition. Arriving in 3D for the very first time, the now-classic Academy Award-winning animated comedy adventure will capture the hearts of everyone around the world once again. It stars John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Mary Gibbs, Steve Buscemi, Jennifer Tilly, James Coburn, Bob Peterson and Frank Oz. Directed by Oscar winner Pete Docter and produced by Oscar nominee Darla K. Anderson, Monsters, Inc. features a screenplay by Andrew Stanton and Daniel Gerson and music by Randy Newman.

Set in Monstropolis, the city is inhabited by monsters who rely on the power of children’s screams to keep the city running. At Monsters, Inc. factory, employees called “Scarers” enter children’s bedrooms via a door portal to scare and collect screams. It is a dangerous job because monsters believe that children and their belongings are toxic and they are risking their lives for their city. The giant blue furry monster James P. "Sulley" Sullivan is the factory’s top scarer who is assisted by dear friend Michael "Mike" Wazowski, a short green ball-shaped one-eyed monster. Their conniving colleague Randall Boggs, a chameleon-like monster, wants to be top scarer and will go to any lengths to gain the title.

One day after work, Randall leaves an activated door on the Scarefloor and Sulley discovers it when he goes to retrieve some paperwork for Mike. After checking the door, to his horror a young 2-year-old human girl has entered the factory. He fails to be able to put her back and it is the monsters who are scared silly when she causes havoc at the restaurant where Sulley interrupts Mike’s date with girlfriend Celia, a gorgon-like one-eye monster with snakes for hair. Sulley and Mike manage to escape before the Children Detection Agency (CDA) arrives and end up taking the girl back to their place. At their home, they discover the child is not toxic, counter to what they have been led to believe, and Sulley quickly grows attached to her -- naming her Boo.

Sulley and Mike decide that they will find Boo’s door and return her home the next day. They dress her up like a little purple monster and take her to work, claiming it is “bring your niece to work day.” Their plan is to send Boo back during lunchtime when no one is on the Scarefloor. However, they end up discovering something more sinister is going on at the factory. As it turns out, production is failing and Randall is in cahoots with company chairman Henry J. Waternoose III, a spider monster with multiple eyes, to use a newly built torture device called the “Scream Extractor” on children to boost production. They manage to kidnap Boo and banish Sulley and Mike to the Himalayas where the two meet the Abominable Snowman. At first the two best buds get into a fight over their predicament, but eventually they put aside their differences and team up to expose Randall and Waternoose’s scheme, save Boo and send her home safely.

Sensational bonus features include a sneak peek at the new upcoming film Monsters University, audio commentary, Toy Story Toons: “Partysaurus Rex”, “For The Birds” and “Mike’s New Car” shorts, filmmakers round table, Roz’s 100 Door Challenge game, “Pixar Fun Factory Tower,” “Banished Concepts” and more.
