For Monday, February 18th 2013 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:
The Carrie Diaries (The CW, 8 p.m.) – “Endgame” – Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) gets in way over her head when she tries to cook the perfect Thanksgiving dinner for her family, her new boyfriend George (guest star Richard Kohnke) and his dad Harlan (guest star Scott Cohen), so she enlists Mouse’s (Ellen Wong) help. Tom (Matt Letscher) is oblivious to the chaos going on in the kitchen, while Dorrit (Stefania Owen) finds a new way to torture Carrie. Maggie (Katie Findlay) is excited to have Thanksgiving with Walt’s (Brendan Dooling) family, but when the topic of college comes up she realizes that she hasn’t put much thought into her future. Elsewhere, Sebastian (Austin Butler) learns that his mother decided to fly out of town with her boyfriend, leaving him to fend for himself on Thanksgiving.
Switched at Birth (ABC Family, 8 p.m.) – "Drive in the Knife" – Daphne (Katie Leclerc) and Travis (guest star Ryan Lane) have a falling out that sets off a series of events that neither of them saw coming. Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Noah's (guest star Max Lloyd-Jones) relationship blossoms, but Emmett (Sean Berdy) won't give up without a fight. Meanwhile, Toby (Lucas Grabeel) meets a new girl (guest star Zoey Deutch) at his father's campaign headquarters.
The Following (FOX, 9 p.m.) – “The Siege” – Claire (Natalie Zea) receives a call that might lead her to her son, and Carroll (James Purefoy) turns to a lawyer from his past to send a message that could have deadly repercussions.
Dallas (TNT, 9 p.m.) – “Trial and Error” – Harris (Mitch Pileggi) exposes secrets from Ann’s past in a bid to destroy her life forever, while John Ross (Josh Henderson) solidifies his scheme to seize control of Ewing Energies, and a family nemesis from the past returns.
Castle (ABC, 8 p.m.) – “Target” – In the first of a two-episode story arc, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) begin a murder investigation that also exposes a plot to kidnap the daughter of a wealthy Middle Eastern businessman. Dylan Walsh guest stars as FBI Agent Harris, an even-keeled professional brought in to help find the kidnappers.
