Academy Award winner Quentin Tarantino presents the epic martial arts action adventure film The Man with the Iron Fists directed and starring Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA. Co-written by RZA and Eli Roth, the rest of the cast includes Academy Award winner Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, mixed martial arts fighter Dave Bautista, Rick Yune, Jamie Chung, Cung Le and Byron Mann. The film is inspired by classic kung fu movies.
Set in nineteenth century China, when the emperor’s gold must pass through Jungle Village, home to several warring clans, the region’s governor tasks the Lion Clan to protect the gold. However when the clan leader Gold Lion’s traitorous lieutenants murder him and hijack the gold, every kung fu warrior, assassin and hired gun in China will battle to claim the fortune. To recover the emperor’s gold, the emperor’s undercover emissary must team up with an avenging son and the village Blacksmith to defeat them all and save the village from total annihilation.
The DVD and Blu-ray include the rated and unrated versions of the film. Special features include deleted scenes and and three featurettes: “A Path to the East,” “A Look Inside The Man with the Iron Fists” and “On the Set with RZA.”
