Every day there are thousands of homeless pets in shelters in metro Atlanta who all have the same wish - a forever home. They are dreaming of waking up in a home where they are loved and cherished and are a member of the family.
All month I will be featuring Furkids kitties who want to be your furry forever friend. These adorable sweethearts want nothing more than their very own human and a warm place to sleep at night.
Today’s featured pet is Sugarplum - a one and a half year old female domestic short hair black and white tuxedo kitty. Here is more about Sugarplum from the Furkids’ Facebook page:
Since December 2013, Sugarplum has been searching for her forever home. Never finding such a place, she is seeking a fairy godparent to help her! Will you be that fairy?
She doesn't ask for much - a nice window to look out, a cat tree or perch and a nice soft bed to lay on when the mood strikes. Occasionally a wizard brings his magic laser wand and she tries to chase the beams. That game is fun, but the wizard always seems to win.
Sugarplum would LOVE to be an only cat, but would do fine with older calm dogs and cats.
Her adoption fee is $9 right now, and the love she will provide will be worth the cost tenfold.
Consider adopting this cat sweet as a Sugarplum, or becoming her fairy godparent and SHARING her profile and story around the web. Let's show this girl what the power of social media can do!
The following is some additional information about Sugarplum from the Furkids’ website:
Hello, my name is Sugarplum and I came to Furkids as part of the Christmas season rescue from Jasper animal control this year, just in time for the holidays. There were several of us felines saved, which was the best gift we could ever receive. We were given a festive naming theme in honor of our liberation.
I am an adorable black and white tuxedo girl with a white 'milk mustache' and super long white whiskers. I am as sweet as sugar and I enjoy the company of people very much. I cannot wait to find my own forever home. My foster mom say that I am 'as sweet as they come'.
I would do fine with other cats, but would be just as content as an only cat if you are looking for one. I enjoy sleeping in my kitty cubbie. I come out to visit, potty, and scratch my post a little and then back to my cozy cubbie. I am thrilled to be petted and will roll over on my back when you hit the sweet spot.
