Every day there are thousands of homeless pets in shelters in metro Atlanta who all have the same wish - a forever home. They are dreaming of waking up in a home where they are loved and cherished and are a member of the family.

Throughout the month of June Furkids in metro Atlanta is offering an adoption special - $9 for any cat nine months old or older. Click here for more information on this adoption special.

All month I will be featuring Furkids kitties who want to be your furry forever friend. These adorable sweethearts want nothing more than their very own human and a warm place to sleep at night.

Today’s featured pet is Lacey Lu - a five-year old female domestic short hair dilute calico kitty. Here is what she posted on the Furkids’ Facebook page earlier this week:

Lacey Lu is my name! How are you today? I am a beautiful dilute calico. I came to Furkids with my brothers after our owner couldn’t care for us any longer. I am sweet and I am shy. I love attention and I love a good brushing. Please consider adopting me today. I would love to be an only cat! I promise to be your queen.

Only $9 for cat adoptions for all cats nine months or older until June 30. (This includes their spay/neuter, microchip, rabies shot, other vaccines, deworming and combo test.) So apply at www.furkids.org and find your perfect feline for only $9!
