FIV-positive cats deserve forever homes and Furkids in metro Atlanta is helping make that a reality by waiving all adoption fees for their FIV-positive kitties and offering free medical care for one year. Click here for more information on this special promotion.
FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus - it is a virus that affects a cat’s immune system. FIV weakens the immune system making them more vulnerable to other infections. However, FIV-positive cats can live safely with FIV-negative cats.
Each week I will be featuring Furkids’ FIV-positive kitties who are available for adoption. This week’s featured cat is Suzy - a nine-year old female domestic short hair kitty. Here is Suzy’s story from the Furkids’ website:
Suzy is a lovely gray and white girl with gorgeous green eyes. She has a quietly sweet and wonderful purrr-sonality. She loves attention from people and to cuddle with them. She would love to find a relaxed home where her true colors will shine. She keeps to herself at times in her current environment, but when engaged she will play with kitty toys.
Suzy is FIV+, but she is healthy and doing well. She does not seem to be bothered by other cats. One of her current housemates has developed a crush on her. His name is Odyssey and he will put his paws around her, how cute is that? Please consider adopting this sweet girl today!
