FIV-positive cats deserve forever homes and Furkids in metro Atlanta is helping make that a reality by waiving all adoption fees for their FIV-positive kitties and offering free medical care for one year. Click here for more information on this special promotion.

FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus - it is a virus that affects a cat’s immune system. FIV weakens the immune system making them more vulnerable to other infections. However, FIV-positive cats can live safely with FIV-negative cats.

During this special promotion I will be featuring Furkids’ FIV-positive kitties who are available for adoption. Today’s featured cat is Cha Cha- a three-year old domestic short hair calico kitty. Here is a message that Cha Cha posted on the Furkids’ FIV House Facebook page earlier this week:

Hi, my name is Cha Cha. My kittens and I were rescued by a good Samaritan who saw us and knew we needed to be indoors. Furkids was kind enough to take us in. We were placed in a loving foster home and given a Dance naming theme. I represent the Cha-Cha, a Cuban dance that is still a popular ballroom favorite today.

I am a lovely calico girl with a mask of black around my eyes surrounding orange and white markings on my face. I am a sweetie who enjoys kisses from humans. I will happily let you hold me over your shoulder so that I can be close to you. I also thoroughly enjoy being brushed, it feels so nice. I am a happy kitty with lots of love and affection to give. I will be a great addition to your family. Please consider adopting me and we can do the Cha-Cha all around the house every day!
