This month's featured pets are Iris, a Cairn terrier. Iris was rescued from the freezing cold after being tied up on a front porch for five years. She was found starving and malnourished. Her eyes were caked shut and her hair was matted making it difficult for her to see.
Her eyes were somewhat damaged from neglect and has developed dry eye which requires daily eyedrops.
She is a calm terrier, with a very large heart and general nosiness. She is happy now, energetic and excited to find her new home.
She would make a wonderful pet, and is very deserving to start life anew.
Frito, is a blonde, tiger striped cat with a very deep throated meow which will capture your heart. She is two years old and a bit shy, but once coaxed out and about, her purr motor is on high.
She was dumped on our back door after having weaned a litter of kittens. She was malnourish, but is thriving well under our care. She is a great all around cat and is good with children and other animals.
Please take a look at these two and the others we have available. Your next friend is here. For more information on adoptions, please call 419-991-1775 Humane Society of Allen County.
