Tomorrow night at Haiku Poetic Food and Art, Couchfire Collective will host FEAST, a dinner held to offer a grant opportunity for artists with creative projects in mind. Proposals have been made for projects that require a small grant to begin. The applicant with the most votes by the end of the evening will win a $1,000 grant. A dinner will be held to offer the community an opportunity to vote on the proposals.

Dinner will be held from 6:30 until 9:00PM and during the five course meal opportunities will be given to vote on each proposal. The first 60 people to register can attend. Sushi, spring rolls and mocki, among many other foods will be offered during the meal and during the last course votes will be made. Rregistered attendees will have an opportunity to hear the artist talk about their proposals.

Projects included but are not limited to

Operation Stinkybom: creating more individually made molds for a variety of soaps

Neon Signatures: neon signatures of architects mounted onto the buildings the architect designed

Bus Project: a distribution of wooden blocks throughout the city to increase public awareness of art

Jamboraid: a charity concert

Billion Dollar Extravaganza: a talk/sketch/game show

Change for Change: a documentary of the Columbus homeless population

Still III: an outdoor music festival

Wonderstruck: a personal breakthrough project

The Raptors Press: a publishing press for teens and kids

Columbus Artmobile: a mobile art room

Play with your Food: a day of playful food making projects for all ages

Getting Started: studio space for artists work

Positive Perception: a pilot program for for sexually abused women

ARTillery: a studio space functioning as a learning center for the arts

Cuckoo!: a personal project where pieces included require a trip to Germany

Fighting Against the Odds: a fundraising project to raise awareness about sexual assault and abuse
