Jenine Cotrice Addison, also known as Cotrice, is the self-proclaimed ‘mother of the earth child, The Cotrice Collection’.

She has been inspired by many things, such as (but not limited to) textile prints, wood, metal, paper, or a new plastic. Her work is an expression of her cultural knowledge.

As an established fashion designer, Cotrice has seen her share of acknowledgment of her success in the fashion and entertainment industry. In 2009, Cotrice was inducted into the Milwaukee Public Art Museums Hall of Fame. In 2006, Cotrice was featured in the New York Times as the opening designer in Brooklyn Fashion Weekend’s Premier show. In 2004, she received Designer of the Year Award in Atlanta, Georgia. Since 2004, Cotrice’s cornucopia of art, clothing and jewelry has been sold in over 50 stores across the country, featured on VH1 and the MTV Awards in New York, and has adorned numerous celebrities.

Cotrice has been given an opportunity to show in New York Fashion Week! She must raise $5,000 to participate. Fashion week is February 13th through 18th, 2012. She will be showcasing her collection on February 15, 2012. She has raised $1500 so far to cover her travel and expenses for the week.
