In an effort to show gratitude for the City of New York’s brave first responders of Engine 4 Ladder 15, Iovate Health Sciences International Inc., under its brand name EPIQ, and GNC teamed up to refurbish the station’s gym with all new fitness equipment such as treadmills, a dumbbell rack and medicine balls, as well as new top of the line EPIQ supplements.
The firehouse had suffered a total loss of its fitness equipment as a result of flooding from Hurricane Sandy.
Director, Brand Management - Sports Nutrition of Iovate Health Sciences Inc. Brent Coward presented the equipment to Captain David Drake, a 16-year veteran of the FDNY.
“The acts of heroism these firefighters show every day is an inspiration to all of us at Iovate and GNC, and we are proud to honor such brave members of the community. It is with sincere appreciation to the City of New York’s first responders that we help rebuild their fitness facility after Hurricane Sandy and provide them with premium quality EPIQ supplements,” says Coward.
Engineered by Iovate Health Sciences International Inc., EPIQ is a new breakthrough line of powerful, specialized muscle building supplements designed for men and women seeking the best in athletic performance. With its clean formulation approach, EPIQ products are guaranteed free of harmful impurities, artificial dyes or colors, and banned substances (WADA).
Firefighter Brian Collier says, "It's exciting because after all our equipment was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy - the water level came up about six feet in here - we've been without exercise equipment for a few months. It's important for us to stay in shape with our job and now we'll be able to work out again. We are very grateful to Iovate and GNC for the contribution."
