FBI will have no involvement in determining Hoka Hey winner

Will the FBI be involved in polygraph testing potential winners of the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge, as event organizer Big Jim Redcloud has claimed?

"Not gonna happen," laughed Dave Joly, the FBI Media Coordinator in the Denver office, when questioned today about the possibility.

In an interview by KBBI Radio News Director Aaron Selbig, aired on July 1, Redcloud discussed polygraph testing potential winners. He stated, "They have to do the polygraph first. Whatever town that guy's from, or that woman, whoever it is, their district will have an FBI . . . uh . . . thing,  and we'll . . . we'll go through them in their home town."

On the other hand, Joly said, the FBI could indeed get involved if there is evidence that the Hoka Hey was a multi-state fraud involving significant amounts of money.

Joly did point out that a former FBI agent, or a company employing former FBI agents, could be hired to administer polygraph tests. "That's very possible," he said.

But, Joly stressed, "The FBI is not going to get involved in something if there is not an active crime." Signing up for or participating in a motorcycle race is not a crime, he pointed out.

However, because the Hoka Hey race crossed many state lines and passed through multiple jurisdictions, and because the more than $500,000 involved is a large sum, a fraud case would definitely be within the bureau's purview.

Many people have charged all along that the Hoka Hey was a scam and that the winner will never see the prize money, if a winner is ever announced at all.

Dude, I've been reading your articles, all have a negative slant. Why not try to be objective instead of sounding like all the Facebook whiners who weren't even participants. What a tool.

    Challenger--
You clearly haven't read all the articles. Check out the first one--straight news report about the event. Second is about a Canadian challenger. "Hoka Hey organizers call event successful, planning party" quotes Annie Molloy verbatim. The rest is just reporting the facts. Not my fault if you don't like the facts.

Oh yeah, Challenger, and then there's "For most riders, Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge was about the ride." That's an interview with a rider who had a lot of good things to say.

I hope to see some postive articles, too. Articles that talk of the generous charitable gifts and the Pine Ridge getting water. Of course, we have to wait for those as the winner is still unknown and the donations unannounced.

Objective? "Is the FBI involved or will it be involved in any sort of polygraph testing or interviewing of alleged winners of the Hoka Hey Challenge?...No."

Did the organizer say that the alleged winners would be given a polygraph examination and interviewed by the FBI?..Yes he did."

    Is that objective enough?

Are there people who are willfully not seeing the fraud that has been and continues to be perpetrated in the Hoka Hey Challenge?...Yes.

Is it a "negative slant" to ask some simple questions of the people who by their own account have received over $800,000 in entry fees for a motorcycle ride? No, it's not.

Are there some people who are so stupid as to believe whatever Jim Durham and his wife say even after they contradict themselves in the same interview? ...Yes there are and a few of them are posting here.

Good job Ken, you know there's more to this, keep after it.

    Follow the money.

Good Job of checking out the facts Ken. From all the blogs I have been reading from Riders. Is that Big Jim can do no wrong and if he handed them a glass of kool-aid and told them to drink it they all would. First rule of taking control of people such as in a cult is sleep deprivation(sp).

I’m guessing that all entrants were ‘citizen, motorcycle enthusiasts’ – Can you imagine what might happen if anyone in an MC got shafted in this hoax? However, I’m also figuring that because of some of the ‘stuff’ that went on in the beginning, before the race actually started, an MC member would probably have spotted the disingenuous intentions of the whole thing.
