Atlanta, Georgia was the failed site of a bank robbery at the beginning of this week, but Tupelo, Mississippi was not as fortunate, with one police officer now dead after encountering the bank robber on Monday. According to a Dec. 28 Fox News report, the FBI is offering up to $100,000 for information that leads to the identification and apprehension of the suspect who remains at large.
The FBI wanted poster provided by the federal law enforcement agency lists the suspect as 5-feet, 8-inches tall to 6-feet tall, and says he has a slender build. The suspect's clothing consisted of tennis shoes, khaki pants and some type of patterned jacket.
He was also wearing a black face mask, which does not look like your typical ski mask. In fact, it looks like it was created especially for this bank robber, as it appears to be long enough to cover a possible full beard.
Police Sgt. Kevin "Gale" Stauffer, 38, was fatally shot by the suspect during the Mississippi bank robbery, and Officer Joseph Maher, 27, was also shot, but his wife says he is able to walk now, with assistance.
If you have any idea who the cop killing bank robber is then please contact the FBI's Tip Line at 1-800-CALL-FBI or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-773-TIPS.
The suspect is armed and dangerous, so please do not attempt to intervene or make a citizen arrest.
