Fawcett art juror: Jury at standstill on who gets Warhol’s painting of Farrah

Who is the rightful owner of the Farrah Fawcett portrait painted by Andy Warhol? The jurors on the panel are trying to decide who should get ownership of this painting, according to ABC News on Dec. 18.

Fawcett bequeathed all her artwork to the University of Texas in Austin, but Ryan O’Neil says Andy Warhol gave him the painting. Before Farrah died in 2009, she made it clear where she wanted her cherished works of art to go, but was this one of her pieces or was it O’Neil’s as he claims?

One juror said that there’s a lot of discord among the panel and they are basically at a standstill, even though they’ve only been deliberating for less than 10 hours. This juror was seeking a day-long break from the deliberations to attend to some personal business.

Six women and six men are on the jury and now deliberating on the rightful owner of the Andy Warhol portrait. The juror requesting the break for the day said he has no idea how long this will take to decide.
