Father's Day Taquiza at Traders Village on Sunday

Traders Village is celebrating fathers this weekend. On Father’s Day Sunday June 15, Miller Lite will have a complimentary Father’s Day Taquiza at Traders Village-San Antonio. Miller Lite will be giving away taco made by professional taco chefs and beers to fathers and sons ages 21 and up. Guests will have a chance to win great prizes including tickets to a Scorpions home game.

As part of the ongoing Father’s Day weekend celebration there will also be a classic and custom cars display and judging event. The 4th annual Dia De los Daddys Car Show and Swap Meet consists of a Show and Shine and Automotive Parts Swap Meet on Saturday and the judging on Sunday. For the judging, registration is from 8a.m. to 12p.m. with the judging beginning at 11a.m. and the awards being given out at 5p.m. There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Live music will be provided by San Antonio's own Top Shelf—a local band that plays a wide variety of music from hip hop to rock and roll and country. Top Shelf was founded in 2008 and consists of John Hernandez (guitar), Terri Valero (vocals), John Rodriguez (saxophone), Richard Arce (trumpet), Paul Valero (keyboard), Robert Ripley (bass) and Bugz Garza (drums). On Sunday they will be doing a Jersey Boy's tribute.
