Colorado Springs has several family-friendly events this Father’s Day weekend. There will be the very popular Springs Spree event at Memorial Park on June 14th from 9am-7pm, and on June 15th from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The Cripple Creek Rodeo has revived the city’s long history of a love for rodeo. It will take place June 13th thru June 15th. Tickets are only $6 for children (12 and under), and $10 for adults (13+). Lastly, the Feast of St. Arnold which benefits Westside CARES will take place June 14th from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Children are free with adult paid admission.

Springs Spree has so many exciting activities that dads and kids will enjoy. This year there will be a load of entertainment including nationally known artists like, James Otto, Kelleigh Bannen, and Brothers Osborne, and many others. The Kids Spree Village will have a “Gravity Play” area, an exciting ropes course over water where dad can challenge his family to a test of strength and endurance. In addition, there will be a full carnival, vendors, 5k/10k run, and Car and Bike Show to enjoy as well.

The Cripple Creek Rodeo (Teller County Fairgrounds, 501 West Golden Teller County Road 1, Cripple Creek, CO 80813) will bring out the inner cowboy and cowgirl in your family. There will be two days of Mutton Busting, a street dance, and Team Roping Jackpot. The rodeo competitions will include: bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, and so much more. Children ages 3-7 (weighing less than 60lbs.) can get a taste of a cowboy’s life and ride a sheep to win a prize. You can park in town and take a shuttle to the fairgrounds. Please visit their site, visitcripplecreek.com for more information.

Feast of St. Arnold at 8 Fourth St., Colorado Springs, CO 80906, will offer wine tastings, beer garden, and family activities. There will also be live music (bluegrass, jazz, and blues) and 5k/10k family walks. This event benefits an organization (Westside CARES) that is dedicated to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in the community by providing emergency assistance, shelter, food, clothing, transportation, and medical assistance. Your family can enjoy a day out and give back to others in need.
So go check out one or all of these great family events, and make sure you bring dad along for the fun.
