Father's Day Crafts for kids: Fun and affordable gifts for dad

Whether he is an avid fisherman or sports fan, he’ll be reminded how much he is loved every time he looks at his one-of-a-kind gift.   Not only are the following Father’s Day crafts sure to be great big hits with dad, they are affordable to make too.

Fun Father’s Day Crafts for Kids


Father’s Day Fishing Crafts:


  • Tissue Paper Fish – If dad loves to fish, he’ll enjoy this handmade fish made out of tissue paper. You’ll need glue, card stock and blue and green tissue paper.
  • Tackle Box – This fun project is sure to be appreciated by fishermen. You’ll need a small plastic box with compartments, glue, stickers and foam letters. This craft project is from Making Friends.
  • Fishing Photo Frame – This fun project combines dad’s favorite things – fishing and you! You’ll need a plain or unfinished wooden picture frame and unfinished fish. 18 gauge wire, paint, markers and thin wooden dowels are also required. Cute!

Father’s Day Sports Crafts:

  • Football Photo Frame – If dad loves football, he’ll get a KICK out of this fun craft from All Kids Network! You’ll need a Styrofoam egg for the football, brown and white paint , 18 gauge wire and a few photographs. This project uses a knife so make sure there is adult supervision.
