On Sunday, June 15 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., you can start your day of celebrating dad with a special Father's Day Beermosa Brunch at The J. Clyde (1312 Cobb Lane, Birmingham).

Whatever you have planned for pops on Father's Day, it is a given that you have to start the day with a delicious and healthy meal, right? Well, The J. Clyde has you covered with their annual Father's Day Brunch. To make sure dad leaves well fed and happy, The J. Clyde will be serving up the following spread of tasty grub buffet-style:

  • Egg & Bacon Casserole
  • Vegetable Frittata
  • Cheese Grits
  • Biscuits
  • Homemade Preserves
  • Tomato Gravy
  • Sausage & Bacon
  • Fresh Fruit
  • Ovetta’s Famous Cinnamon Rolls
  • Coffee from FinerGrind Coffee Roasters

If you would like a delicious craft beer or mixed drink to enjoy with your brunch, The J. Clyde's bar will be fully operational to serve you your beverage of choice. As far as the old man goes, he does not have to worry about his first drink order because each dad in attendance for the brunch will receive a complimentary beermosa. What dad doesn't like free stuff?

Cost of the brunch is $19 per adult and $9 per child. This brunch is by reservation only and you can arrange yours by calling 205.939.1312, emailing, or by simply telling your server or bartender the next time you are at the pub.

If you already have breakfast/brunch plans with dad but would still like to take him out for a beer at some point on Father's Day, The J. Clyde will be open to the public until the end of the Argentina vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina match thanks to the pub's extended hours during the World Cup (they are normally closed on Sundays). The bar will be serving as usual, and the kitchen will have a very limited World Cup menu available. The brunch may be by reservation only, but the extended World Cup hours are come as you are. This is just one of many great options for the beer-lovin' dad in Birmingham, but is there a better place to start Father's Day than at The J. Clyde for brunch? I can't think of one. Who knows, it could lead to a full-blown beer crawl with dad through the city. That's for you and the old man to decide, but brunch seems like a no-brainer. Prost!
